Aahar International Food and Hospitality Fair 2012

A one-stop information source for various participants in the food and food processing sector

The hallmark event in the food processing industry, Aahar 2012 will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India, from March 12–16, 2012. One of the most widely recognised events in Asia—the 27th International Exhibition for food, food processing, hotel and restaurant equipment, and supplies—will showcase the latest developments and trends in the technology and marketing arenas of the industry. The annual event comprises a series of fairs that will provide a platform for prospective business partners from across Asia and the rest of the world to interact and foster productive business relations. Organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), Aahar acts as an effective forum for Business to Business interaction, and exchange of technical insights and expertise as well as market insights.

The exhibition also functions as a venue for the implementation of government schemes pertaining to infrastructural development, especially in the establishment of food parks, packaging and value-added centres, integrated cold-chain facilities, irradiates and modernised abattoirs. Aahar 2012 is divided into two shows: Food India, for the food and the food processing sectors; and Hospitality India, showcasing equipment and supplies for the hotel and restaurant sector, along with the bakery and confectionary industry.
